Describing it as “your new AI lover,” a gadget startup has just showed off its newest creation – an AI-powered vibrator. And it looks like a lipstick.
Nearly seven years after showing off its first phone-connected vibrator, Singapore’s Vibease is going more hi-tech with its latest gizmo.
It has Siri-style skills so that it’ll talk to you through your phone, wooing you with compliments and relaxing you with boyfriend banter.
Explains founder and CEO Dema Tio: “When we saw the movie Her, we were inspired. Here was an AI robot love story for the ages. A human man falls in love with his computer because the computer gets to know him on a deep, meaningful level. We thought long and hard about how we could apply that same technology idea to a vibrator, once again seeking to combine the physical and mental aspects that led us to success with our first product.”
Coming in at 10 cm (4 inches) long, the Vibease Smart Lipstick even takes voice commands when inserted.
The goal, the startup says, is to help women orgasm in a way that’s more natural than with other vibrators.
Like the first one, the new Smart Lipstick syncs with erotic audiobooks from its app.
Alternatively, a human partner can usurp the AI to control the device remotely from their own phone, which ties in with a private messaging system. That’s designed for long-distance relationships.
Vibease’s Smart Lipstick has just hit Kickstarter, with prices starting at US$69 – or a pair for US$119. The well-established hardware maker has been secretly designing and prototyping this new gadget for just over a year, so it’s targeting a quick turnaround from this Kickstarter, with deliveries starting in December.
